Welcome to the Rathbun Yacht ClubWelcome to Rathbun Yacht Club's Website. Rathbun Yacht Club is located in southern Iowa on Lake Rathbun (Buck Creek Marina). RYC members hail from all over Iowa and surrounding states. If you have a power boat, a sailboat, a row boat, or a dream to buy a boat and you would like to learn more about others with the same affliction, chart a course through our website.  
Club HistoryRathbun Yacht Club is an off-shoot of the cruising fleet of Iowa, formed in 1974 by sailing enthusiasts eager to explore the 'new' Iowa reservoirs. In the late 80's the Rathbun Yacht Club was formed to allow reciprocal privileges at other yacht clubs for traveling members. Today, RYC has a full schedule of year round activities, a comfortable club house with room for social functions, a kitchen for member use, showers, and a deck and gazebo with a great view of the marina. The RYC club house and gazebo were conceived of and built by RYC members, and continue to be maintained through RYC member volunteer labor.
